Harrah's Signs Million Dollar Deal With AT&T
This week AT&T received an 18 million dollar three year contract from Harrah's Operating Company Inc, a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment Inc.
After the Katrina disaster Harrah is well aware of the importance of quick disaster and disruption recovery and AT&T is going to help Harrah to create a system that will make this possible. AT&T will provide Harrah with a platform that will enable system wide operation of enterprise resource management and customer relation management. Also included in the contract are call center services, teleconferencing for international long-distance, domestic and toll-free services.
David Richter, Vice President of Harrah's IT department explained about the suspension of business operations thanks to Katrina, some time ago. He believes that the best move for Harrah and for the ones who where affected by the disaster is to get back on their feet as soon as possible and get the network back up. AT&T is going to help them with this by setting up fixed location and mobile work solutions.
On top of all this Harrah can keep an eye on the performance of its network with the AT&T customer portal, called AT&T BusinessDirect(R). This portal provides 24/7 online access to real-team reports on the performance of the network and has a direct connection to trouble management systems.
AT&T is the largest long distance carrier in the United States and leading provider of business networks and services and Harrah's is the largest casino operator in the world. These two giants are already business partners for a long time, but now this contract renews and expands the relationship between the two.
