Vengeance on Vegas
Some may call him crazy, but he thinks he's got it all figured out. Daren Leverenz is taking up Vegas in a Man to 'Gamble Hall' fight and every American can be a witness of this fight, since he made an actual TV series about it.
Leverenz is trying to win back the $3 million he lost when he was playing in casinos from 1997 to 1999. After this gigantic lost he started saving and he liquidated all his assets to get enough money to broadcast his own TV show.
In the show he catches innocent tourist in Vegas, picking them up from the streets, and he offers them a chance to gamble with his money. If they win, they can keep a part of the profits, if they lose they don't lose any of their own money. He wants them to experience the Vegas madness and in the process win back the money he lost years ago.
Leverenz earned the millions of dollars that he lost to gambling halls in Vegas through investments he made in the dot.com industry. In those same years he turned into a crazy gambling addict starting of pretty well with a birthday present worth $2,000 which he turned into $180,000, but eventually he started to lose sometimes even $250,000 a day, in Vegas casinos.
The program will be shown this Friday night at 10 on CMT (Cox cable channel 57) and is filmed in the Plaza and Aladdin Casino. Games that will be shown are Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps and Poker.
Daren Leverenz is now 35 years old and a resident of the San Fernando Valley town of Calabasas. Even after losing all his money, he is still stark crazy about gambling and truly believes that the Vegas odds can be beaten. We'll find out soon enough…
