Time For Flu Shots At Casino.
Mohegan Sun Casino for some reason is offering up flu shots. They are offering the shots to anyone who is visiting the hotel and casino. This access can be made to a flu and pneumonia clinic where shots for both will be given on specific days. To receive them, there will be a modest fee, but if one is a member to the casino's Player's Club, and has enough points, the shots will be given out on the house.
No one is sure why they are doing so. Some ask if it is a public service, or one of there publicity stunts. In the past, the Mohegan Tribal Health Department, which hosts the clinic, has participated in the casinos health needs. They have provided one or more days to do so, and for this season flu shots, things may be the same.
Others believe it may be out of genuine safety concern. People are constantly touching slot and video poker machines, and susceptible to all the germs on peoples hands. Some of these germs, in the up coming winter months are flu, and pneumonia related. Flu shots will be $30 and pneumonia shots will run $46.
